Diana Qing Tao co-presented with John Loechle, Infrastructure Manager for Louisville Metropolitan Sewer District, at the Wet Weather Partnership Conference on “Lessons Learned from Long Term Real Time Control Operations – Highlighting Louisville MSD RTC System”.
Louisville MSD is one of the early adopters of RTC in the US, applying inline storage since the early 90’s and pioneering the application of global optimal and prediction RTC that has been in operation since 2006. RTC is part of MSD’s Integrated Overflow Abatement Plan to support the parameters of its consent decree. The smart use of RTC technology has allowed MSD to enhance the sustainability of their sewer systems by improving the water quality of surrounding waterways.
